Abstract

A historian from Dubrovnik, Giacomo Luccari (1551-1615), can be considered as the first South Slavic researcher and historian who paid due attention to the history of the Tatars. His work "An extensive excerpts from the chronicles of Dubrovnik", published in 1605, remained little known. That is why, in this article, excerpts from the work of Lukari, dedicated to the Mongol Empire and the Tatars, are presented and translated into Russian
