Abstract

Iz posebne vizure služenja hrane i pića strancima i gostima, u radu su prikazani vidovi iskazivanja gostoljubivosti, posluživanje pića i jela, a delimično i jelovnici u svečanim ili posebnim prilikama. Pokazano je da se iz zabeležaka stranaca ne može rekonstruisati svakodnevna ishrana u Srbiji, već kulturni obrazac po kome se pred stranca iznosi najbolje što domaćin može pripremiti, kao i da su načini pripremanja i konzumiranja hrane i pića bili pod uticajem osmanske kulture ishrane. Zapadnoevropski uticaji na srpsku kuhinju sporo su se i teško probijali i ostali su ograničen uglavnom na Beograd i neke imućnije porodice u unutrašnjosti
